I went shopping?

Yesterday I went to Oakville Place. Not a fan of that mall. It's very small and has a strange layout. BUT it does have a Style Sense!

I originally went because I needed to find a Baptism present for Daniel. I was completely clueless on what to get him. It felt wrong to buy one of those ceramic figurines that said BAPTISM on it. So I went with a book. I also picked up a book for myself... A book written by one of my classmates! How cool is that?

After walking around the entire mall (in less than a half hour) I wandered into Claire's and bought a sequined mask. Meh, I could wear it for Halloween! On my way out, I thought, "Why not just peek into Style Sense? It couldn't hurt!".

I walked up and down the aisles of shoes and only tried on one pair!!! They were agonizingly tight so I perused the purse and toiletries. As I was about to leave I saw.... COSMETICS, right by the check out. There was Urban Decay! Calvin Klein! Bliss! The Balm! And... China Glaze! I picked up one eyeshadow and a box set of SIX China Glaze nail polishes!

MAN GLAZE!!

My Man Glaze order came in today!

After I was bitching to my parents this morning that my dad painted over our address. Yeah, he did that. I have had this conversation with them before. How will the postal people where to deliver things if we have no address? My dad says that they would just know. ... Yeah. Last year AJYJ (HAHA..) sent me something and it was sent back to him because my address DNE. I didn't want my polish to get sent back!

I was worried since they said it would take about 4 days to get here, and I ordered it over a week ago. But then a few hours after my whining.. my package came!

I didn't even bother taking off my old nail polish, I just painted right over it. It goes on a sparkly black (which is cool) but in less than a minute, it turns into a flat matte colour. It dries very quickly. SO COOL!!



I still haven't mastered my camera, which is broken and held together with tape. Time for a new one!

Update!

Perhaps I should have wrote this earlier. I kept putting it off, because that's my style. I was all over the place emotionally about how I felt about it. First I was excited, then stressed, then regretful, now... sort of stressed and excited at once.

So I'm going back to school, just not University. On September 14th I will be starting a 14 week course at Complexions in Toronto. =) The course is called the Essential Makeup Artist. I will be learning fashion makeup, character makeup, a bit of hair, and a bit of prothetics. I'm really excited to start!
Which means, I am moving to Toronto! I'll be living with my sister, and when I can, crash at Ev's (thanks lady).

Big news huh?

I guess that's all I really want to say about that for now.

I went to the states yesterday!

.. Went shopping..

I didn't go crazy! Just a few dresses and stuff.. Forever 21 in the US is so much better than the Canadian one. I find things I actually like! And they're in my size!

I Hate Going to Electronic Stores...

Why? Because I always leave with NONE of my questions answered, and empty handed.

I went to Future Shop in the afternoon because I wanted to check out this digital camera that my brother in law recommended. I also wanted to pick up the Season 1 and 2 bundle of 30 Rock.

So I'm in the "Photo" Department, picking up cameras. There was a mother and daughter there as well, and to be honest, they were there before me (albeit 2.5 seconds before.) A worker comes over and chats them up and I actually get.. squished down further along the aisle because of what he's showing them. Fine, I'll check out the other cameras... I picked up every other camera and took pics of the signage, messed with the settings, and came back to the camera I wanted to see. Another worker FINALLY comes over and asks me if I need help. YES I DO. I asked him if he could tell me the difference about these two Canon cameras and the functions. Too bad it's not his department. So I am again waiting...

So after about... 15 minutes of me standing there, clearly in need of some assistance, another worker comes over. I think *SCORE* because this IS his department.

"Can I help you?"
"Yes, I was just checking out these two cameras and wanted to know which one would be better and why."
"I'd say.. this one." *points*
"What's better about it? And I wanted to test out the shot to shot times because I don't want a camera that will lag."
"What?"
" ... Like what is the wait time between actual pictures."
"Oh.. here you can see.. " *picks up camera and takes a picture.. then... clicks and takes another picture*
"Yeah..... but that's not really accurate because there's no memory card and nothing is saved. I want to know the average shot to shot time, with flash because I don't want to have to wait a long time between pictures."
"Oh.. Um I don't really know what that means. I want to be honest and say that I don't really know what the wait is."
I huff.. then just say thanks and walk off.

HOW MUCH TIME DO I HAVE TO WAIT TO TAKE NEXT PICTURE? .....

Am I speaking some crazy language that these supposed tech guys don't understand? And picking up the camera and snapping a picture that doesn't save therefore you have to click *cancel* before taking the next picture is not an accurate prediction of the wait time I will have.

Whatever...

Then I walk over to the DVD section and they don't have what I want, when the website fully said that it was in stock at this store. FRUSTRATION!!! I just stormed out of there.

In other news, I'm just in a crabby/depressed mood altogether.

I want to post more often, but I just have nothing I feel that is worth talking about? Or I'm still feeling kind of down, because I do have updates! Meh. So I have been going to second hand stores lately and finding.. some interesting stuff! I mostly buy books, because they are usually in good condition so why buy the new one when you can get it for $3.99? I was at Value Village today and picked up some more books. So maybe I can review them when I'm finished... It's a thought.

I know that I shouldn't be shopping. I know this, but what did I do? I went shopping.

At least my first purchase was for my dad. Even though he wants me to return it, whatever.

I went to HMV and got two cd's that I've been wanting for the longest time. I got Lady Gaga The Fame and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs Fever To Tell (LOVE Date With The Night). I've liked Lady Gaga from the start. Her music is too catchy, but when I saw her music videos..... that's what put me over the edge. She has such a crazy and innovative style. Love her! And Karen O? Love.




Then I went to Winners to look for a dress. I need to find something for my brother's wedding in October. It's hard to find a something when you already have something pictured in your head. My biggest problem is that I want to wear a certain pair of shoes... and I have to find a dress to match them!

No luck in finding a dress... for the wedding. But as I was perusing the aisles I came across this (looks wonky on the hanger, but trust me, it's CUTE!)



HOW CUTE IS THAT? Had to have it. I was walking around the store debating if I should buy this Dollhouse jacket because it was on sale. It was a pleather jacket with elastic ribbing cuffs. I decided against that because I saw these

Now I have to get ready for bed, because after Conan it's lights out. I hate early morning shifts.

I'm a big fat liar.

I know I said I would get batteries and blah blah blah. But I haven't. I'm THAT lazy. I want a new camera, one that doesn't lag and has.. awesome capabilities. I'm saving up.

Anyway,

I just woke up from a nap. I went to a work meeting today (like a boss!) and then shopped around. Didn't eat all day so got an insane craving for junk food. I snarfed down a McChicken.. sat around and then fell asleep.

What did I dream about?

SPARKLERS. You know, the things you put on birthday cakes... I was dreaming that someone would light them... and I tried to put them out in my mouth. Strange. I felt the burn.

I go on youtube, and oh look, Metric posted their new music video for "Sick Muse". What do they have in that video? SPARKLERS. What the hell. Am I now psychic? Apparently!

So what did I buy? You're dying to know right? I bought a top and tights for $5 each! Then I went to MAC, it's my addiction. I didn't need a new lipgloss... but the zebra/leopard print packaging was too cute.
