I'm not happy with one, but I like the other three a lot. I guess it can't always be a perfect fit. Overall, I think it's a good start. It was a lot of fun and I loved watching the photos being taken... may have to learn a teeny bit about photography now!

New Chapter

The Fashion and Photography Makeup Course finished on Friday. =(
I miss that class so much! I walked into school today and had to fight the urge to go into that room. I did knock on the window and wave to Barb though.... and went to say hi to her at lunch.

I was so excited to see our pictures today, but *wah wah waaaaaah* they weren't ready yet. I had my portfolio all ready and everything!

Hair is a bit of a challenge. Something as basic as a ponytail was pretty difficult. Working from a different angle.. and not on yourself is strange. I must have yanked out 100 hairs from this mannequins head. I called her many names and whacked her to secure her to the stand. Can you imagine how hot a room can get with 10 blow dryers going at the same time? I was boiling. Oh, and something must have gotten sucked up into my dryer since... a wonderful burning smell was coming from it and the motor started clicking.

But all in all, not a bad start. I'm doing okaaaay!

Mandy and I had lasagna for lunch. Lasagna = awesome.

This is all I can manage for now.

Right now, I am in Ethan's play room. He has a toy saxophone playing and he's banging a set of chimes off of it. His nanny is alternating between school girl giggles and yelling gibberish. I am ready to rip my hair out.

Remember those boots I wanted? I got them yesterday =). On Thursday I went to the mall to visit them, but found out that there were only two in my size left. So I put the order in and now they are MINE! I can't wait to wear them!!!!



Last week was my brother's wedding. We all went to Chicago and I learned that I HATE flying. I left like crap the entire weekend. But the wedding was nice and the food was awesome!

Monday will be the last week of Fashion Makeup for me. =(
It went by way too quickly! I felt like there is so much more to learn! I'm not ready to move on!!! Our photo shoots are Monday and Tuesday. I am quite stressed about it. This entire week I was conflicted. I love to do dark and dramatic looks, but I also want to be able to use my images in my portfolio. I needed to incorporate more pretty looks into my work. I now have my looks in order, I guess I just have to do some practicing....

I was at Chapters scoping out every single fashion magazine to find some "monochromatic" makeup pics.. and couldn't find any. =(

As I was SQUATTING by the magazine display a Starbucks worker offers me a sample. I look up and say no thanks. She goes,

"Wow! I love your makeup! Are you a model????"

I laugh. Bahahahaha... That made my day.

Then I went to Sherway Gardens to hit up the bank. I had no intention of looking at shoes and somehow ended up at Browns. Why oh why did I go in??? There is a pair of Miss Sixty's thigh high boots that I.. WANT. NEED.

*Sigh.

Oh, and I got my hair cut yesterday. Six inches and bangs!

Ahhh.. and applying my own makeup! I'm wearing my brand new grease paint stick, and youngpunk mineralize eyeshadow over it. I LOVE glitter.

My birthday is next Sunday! .... Gift certificates to Browns Shoes would be awesome... I'm just sayin' =p

Update!!

This is going to come out like rapid fire because I am dead tired from school.

I am living in Mississauga. I am going to makeup school (it's AWESOME). I am quite content.

Waking up between 6 and 7 each morning is .. dare I say it... not that bad. Mostly because school is amazing. Each day is challenging and fun. I wish I could go for the rest of my life lol. I love working on different faces and getting the chance to learn all these new cool things!

But what I really wanted to touch on today was how grateful I am for my friends. As I was driving home today (hour and forty minutes instead of the usual hour) I was thinking how lucky I am to have such great friends. They are there for me from.. random outings, late night/early morning calls and texts, believing in me, loving me even though I am the queen of sarcasm and much, much more.

I wish I could articulate this better.. but my brain is so fried lol.

So, I just want to say thank you to my wonderful friends. Thank you for your patience, advice and overwhelming support. Without you guys I would be even more cynical and ranty (if that's at all possible! lol) Love you!

MAN GLAZE!!

My Man Glaze order came in today!

After I was bitching to my parents this morning that my dad painted over our address. Yeah, he did that. I have had this conversation with them before. How will the postal people where to deliver things if we have no address? My dad says that they would just know. ... Yeah. Last year AJYJ (HAHA..) sent me something and it was sent back to him because my address DNE. I didn't want my polish to get sent back!

I was worried since they said it would take about 4 days to get here, and I ordered it over a week ago. But then a few hours after my whining.. my package came!

I didn't even bother taking off my old nail polish, I just painted right over it. It goes on a sparkly black (which is cool) but in less than a minute, it turns into a flat matte colour. It dries very quickly. SO COOL!!



I still haven't mastered my camera, which is broken and held together with tape. Time for a new one!

Update!

Perhaps I should have wrote this earlier. I kept putting it off, because that's my style. I was all over the place emotionally about how I felt about it. First I was excited, then stressed, then regretful, now... sort of stressed and excited at once.

So I'm going back to school, just not University. On September 14th I will be starting a 14 week course at Complexions in Toronto. =) The course is called the Essential Makeup Artist. I will be learning fashion makeup, character makeup, a bit of hair, and a bit of prothetics. I'm really excited to start!
Which means, I am moving to Toronto! I'll be living with my sister, and when I can, crash at Ev's (thanks lady).

I guess that's all I really want to say about that for now.
