My arm. I walked into the metal.. thing that is on the door frame that the lock.. locks into. Yeah. Its flat, it sticks out and is sharp. My arm scraaaaaaaped across that as I tried to get through the doorway which was open a crack (I was too lazy to open the door all the way. Haha.) Serves me right I guess? I pulled a Peter Griffin.

Automated Voicemail

Can anyone be a morning person? I HATE 6 or 7am start times. HATE THEM. I can never fall asleep til about 1 or 2 or even 3am and I am left with 2-4 hours of sleep.

I hate mornings!

I got off work at about 12:30, and I check my phone, 4 missed calls and 3 voicemails. Seems that someone has been trying to get a hold of me. I check the numbers, its a 1-888 number. I check the voicemails and its an automated message from "Contact services regarding my outstanding Rogers account". I've heard from them before but thought it must have been a mistake because my bill is always paid on time (thanks mom). This was the first time that they called three times in a row, before that it was a random call maybe once every two weeks, and it would stop for about a month.

When I got home I called the number back and asked the ..phone.. person what it was regarding. Here's the conversation:

Me - I just received three automated messages. Something about my "OUTSTANDING Rogers account?"
Lady - Reference number?
M - I don't have one. It was an automated message saying I need to contact you immediately.
L - I need your primary phone number and full name.
M - *gives it
L - This is your number?
M - Yup.
L - What's your name again?
M - ... Rose.
L - Who is Marco _______?
M - No idea.
L - Well he put this as his primary number.
M - That's not me.
L - You sure you don't know him?
M - Um. Yeah.
L - How long have you had this number?
M - Over a year and a half. What kind of company is this? Collections?
L - Why did he put your number?
M - How should I know? If I had an outstanding Rogers account, you wouldn't be able to call me on it.
L - And you don't know him?
M - I don't want to receive any more calls.

*Click*

Annoying. She was giving me attitude the entire time. It made no sense, if I owed Rogers a whole bunch of money, they would cut my phone off! This is not the first time I have gotten calls for this Marco.

I'm changing my number soon.

I called Rogers today and after checking out some phones.. will probably renew my contract with a pretty good plan. You have to say you're going to leave them before they give you the goods. Ain't that always the way?


I like this one, but knowing my luck it probably won't be in the store for me to test. It's also kind of pricey... *Sigh, I keep finding more and more things I need before September.

30 Day Shred

In my effort to get in shape and to stop being a lazy ass, I bought the Skinny Bitch Fitness DVD last month.



Prior to that, I had never, ever worked out. It was a place to start! So 6 weeks into it, I'm still breaking a sweat but not feeling sore like I did in the beginning. I'm also not seeing much of a difference in my body so.... I looked into Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred.



Today is day one! I'd have to say it's pretty challenging for someone like me, a total beginner! My legs were burning, my arms were burning, I was huffing and puffing and I wanted to quit! But, I stuck with it!

I plan on following the workout for the whole 30 days (minus the days that I work a full shift counting crap and just come home and pass out) and will update at the 10 day, 20 day and finally, the 30 day mark!

I just watched the Level 2 and.. it's intimidating lol.

I Hate Going to Electronic Stores...

Why? Because I always leave with NONE of my questions answered, and empty handed.

I went to Future Shop in the afternoon because I wanted to check out this digital camera that my brother in law recommended. I also wanted to pick up the Season 1 and 2 bundle of 30 Rock.

So I'm in the "Photo" Department, picking up cameras. There was a mother and daughter there as well, and to be honest, they were there before me (albeit 2.5 seconds before.) A worker comes over and chats them up and I actually get.. squished down further along the aisle because of what he's showing them. Fine, I'll check out the other cameras... I picked up every other camera and took pics of the signage, messed with the settings, and came back to the camera I wanted to see. Another worker FINALLY comes over and asks me if I need help. YES I DO. I asked him if he could tell me the difference about these two Canon cameras and the functions. Too bad it's not his department. So I am again waiting...

So after about... 15 minutes of me standing there, clearly in need of some assistance, another worker comes over. I think *SCORE* because this IS his department.

"Can I help you?"
"Yes, I was just checking out these two cameras and wanted to know which one would be better and why."
"I'd say.. this one." *points*
"What's better about it? And I wanted to test out the shot to shot times because I don't want a camera that will lag."
"What?"
" ... Like what is the wait time between actual pictures."
"Oh.. here you can see.. " *picks up camera and takes a picture.. then... clicks and takes another picture*
"Yeah..... but that's not really accurate because there's no memory card and nothing is saved. I want to know the average shot to shot time, with flash because I don't want to have to wait a long time between pictures."
"Oh.. Um I don't really know what that means. I want to be honest and say that I don't really know what the wait is."
I huff.. then just say thanks and walk off.

SHOT TO SHOT TIME? .....
HOW MUCH TIME DO I HAVE TO WAIT TO TAKE NEXT PICTURE? .....

Am I speaking some crazy language that these supposed tech guys don't understand? And picking up the camera and snapping a picture that doesn't save therefore you have to click *cancel* before taking the next picture is not an accurate prediction of the wait time I will have.

Whatever...

Then I walk over to the DVD section and they don't have what I want, when the website fully said that it was in stock at this store. FRUSTRATION!!! I just stormed out of there.

In other news, I'm just in a crabby/depressed mood altogether.

So I have been going to second hand stores lately and finding.. some interesting stuff! I mostly buy books, because they are usually in good condition so why buy the new one when you can get it for $3.99? I was at Value Village today and picked up some more books. So maybe I can review them when I'm finished... It's a thought.

Life Is Unfair.

Last night I made the decision to put Lily down. She's been with us since November. Lily was the sweetest, most loving cat you could come across. When she would lay on me she would reach her arms out to touch my face as she slept. She could always come and sit with you when you called out to her. She loved unconditionally.

Lily was battling pneumonia for about about two and a half weeks. The vet said that there wasn't much that they could do for her. They removed fluid from her lungs to help her breathe, put her on meds and she did get better. She was home for a few days but then suddenly stopped eating again. So I brought her back in to be looked at. Her lungs had filled again and she had been diagnosed with Feline AIDS. The vet said that she must have had it since birth because she wasn't exposed to other cats.

It broke my heart to see her in so much pain. But I feel badly, like what could I have done differently? I said sorry to her over and over. I stayed with her and held her even afterwards. Never have I felt so much pain or sadness. I cried until I couldn't cry anymore. I love and miss her so very much.
