Sorry, but do we know each other?

Been months and months hasn't it? Well my internet isn't cooperating plus I don't have too much free time to myself these days. So, no pictures and pretty things to look at, just text. Let's give you a short update.

I am currently working as a receptionist about two days a week and the rest of the week I am in retail (I think I just got promoted to keyholder... we'll see when the next pay cheque is in). Which leaves about zero time for makeup. But hey, the bills need to be paid, and I need to save up some money.

I'm burnt out. Take today for instance, it is my first day off that I did not request off (to work elsewhere) in as long as I can remember. But I was hurting so bad last night I took lyrica. I know what it does to me the next day, but it's for that bit of relief. I haven't been feeling all that well lately.

At times I feel guilty, I should take the time to do things. I think I suck the fun out of everything. If I'm not working, I just want to lay in bed and depcompress. Which isn't something that I feel good about. I should go out more, but I feel exhausted and hopeless. I owe Andi an email that I sent a few days ago only to find that some text was missing? My luck is tops. There should be more days in the week.. or more hours in a day. My only hope is that this is for a short period of time in my life. The money will be steady soon and I will have a bit more time to do makeup and spend time with people I care about.

On the upside....(Gotta look up right?) My family is doing well. I saw my brother and his wife last week. Then I saw my parents. I also went to my sister's, the boys are growing up so fast. They are so cute. I miss them dearly. I guess my fur bebe is doing well, growing quite round from the pic my cousin just sent me. The personal life is good. I mean. I'll be getting some more ink soon.. probably before June. Another flower to add to the garden. In July, Sabrina and I are going to see Gaga at the ACC. It will be my third time seeing her!!

Anyway... I just want to crawl back in bed. Who am I kidding.. I'm in bed right now lol. I mean, I want to lay down. So.. til next time dolls.

First off, happy holidays.

I probably have stuff to write about. But as always, I'm drawing a blankola.

It's so cold out! I just want to crawl back into bed and hibernate! Packing needs to be done.. but it's hard when I have no idea what I'll be wearing the next few days. I like to have options, yanno?

My days are filled with no definite plans, yet I am always busy. How can that be? Time needs to open up for me soon!

2010 will be an exciting/scary time for me. Living out of the nest. AH! But I'm very happy to be moving in with Sab. She has the cutest kitties ever! They're so sweet. I also have to jump.. head first, into getting gigs, even if its TFP.

Mmmmmm.. What else? Iono.

I went shopping?

Yesterday I went to Oakville Place. Not a fan of that mall. It's very small and has a strange layout. BUT it does have a Style Sense!

I originally went because I needed to find a Baptism present for Daniel. I was completely clueless on what to get him. It felt wrong to buy one of those ceramic figurines that said BAPTISM on it. So I went with a book. I also picked up a book for myself... A book written by one of my classmates! How cool is that?

After walking around the entire mall (in less than a half hour) I wandered into Claire's and bought a sequined mask. Meh, I could wear it for Halloween! On my way out, I thought, "Why not just peek into Style Sense? It couldn't hurt!".

I walked up and down the aisles of shoes and only tried on one pair!!! They were agonizingly tight so I perused the purse and toiletries. As I was about to leave I saw.... COSMETICS, right by the check out. There was Urban Decay! Calvin Klein! Bliss! The Balm! And... China Glaze! I picked up one eyeshadow and a box set of SIX China Glaze nail polishes!

New Chapter

The Fashion and Photography Makeup Course finished on Friday. =(
I miss that class so much! I walked into school today and had to fight the urge to go into that room. I did knock on the window and wave to Barb though.... and went to say hi to her at lunch.

I was so excited to see our pictures today, but *wah wah waaaaaah* they weren't ready yet. I had my portfolio all ready and everything!

Hair is a bit of a challenge. Something as basic as a ponytail was pretty difficult. Working from a different angle.. and not on yourself is strange. I must have yanked out 100 hairs from this mannequins head. I called her many names and whacked her to secure her to the stand. Can you imagine how hot a room can get with 10 blow dryers going at the same time? I was boiling. Oh, and something must have gotten sucked up into my dryer since... a wonderful burning smell was coming from it and the motor started clicking.

But all in all, not a bad start. I'm doing okaaaay!

Mandy and I had lasagna for lunch. Lasagna = awesome.

This is all I can manage for now.

Right now, I am in Ethan's play room. He has a toy saxophone playing and he's banging a set of chimes off of it. His nanny is alternating between school girl giggles and yelling gibberish. I am ready to rip my hair out.

Remember those boots I wanted? I got them yesterday =). On Thursday I went to the mall to visit them, but found out that there were only two in my size left. So I put the order in and now they are MINE! I can't wait to wear them!!!!



Last week was my brother's wedding. We all went to Chicago and I learned that I HATE flying. I left like crap the entire weekend. But the wedding was nice and the food was awesome!

Monday will be the last week of Fashion Makeup for me. =(
It went by way too quickly! I felt like there is so much more to learn! I'm not ready to move on!!! Our photo shoots are Monday and Tuesday. I am quite stressed about it. This entire week I was conflicted. I love to do dark and dramatic looks, but I also want to be able to use my images in my portfolio. I needed to incorporate more pretty looks into my work. I now have my looks in order, I guess I just have to do some practicing....

I was at Chapters scoping out every single fashion magazine to find some "monochromatic" makeup pics.. and couldn't find any. =(

As I was SQUATTING by the magazine display a Starbucks worker offers me a sample. I look up and say no thanks. She goes,

I laugh. Bahahahaha... That made my day.

Then I went to Sherway Gardens to hit up the bank. I had no intention of looking at shoes and somehow ended up at Browns. Why oh why did I go in??? There is a pair of Miss Sixty's thigh high boots that I.. WANT. NEED.

Oh, and I got my hair cut yesterday. Six inches and bangs!

Update!

Perhaps I should have wrote this earlier. I kept putting it off, because that's my style. I was all over the place emotionally about how I felt about it. First I was excited, then stressed, then regretful, now... sort of stressed and excited at once.

So I'm going back to school, just not University. On September 14th I will be starting a 14 week course at Complexions in Toronto. =) The course is called the Essential Makeup Artist. I will be learning fashion makeup, character makeup, a bit of hair, and a bit of prothetics. I'm really excited to start!
Which means, I am moving to Toronto! I'll be living with my sister, and when I can, crash at Ev's (thanks lady).
